About

Built to make NIL decisions
easier to explain.

Velocity Rating helps athletes and the organizations around them understand what changed, review the evidence, and choose a practical next action without presenting a rating as an appraisal.

What we do

NIL decisions often rely on fragmented performance, media, social, and public information. A number without context does not tell an athlete or buyer what to do next.

Velocity Rating is a directional decision-support signal built from performance, media exposure, social, and public-risk evidence. It is not an appraisal, a guaranteed outcome, or a substitute for reviewing the underlying facts.

The same evidence is delivered differently for athletes, athletic departments, collectives, and commercial partners so each user can make the decision appropriate to their role.

Who it's for

Athletic Departments

Start with an executive briefing, prioritize athlete support, and review roster changes, evidence gaps, and public signals with clear owners and next actions.

NIL Collectives

Build a permission-backed portfolio, evaluate school-aligned athletes, and keep pending requests separate from confirmed relationships. One collective account supports one school.

Student-Athletes

Understand your rating, review the score receipt, correct your information, manage permissions, and see practical next steps you can control.

Brands & Agencies

Evaluate athlete momentum and audience fit using visible evidence, data freshness, and limitations instead of opaque rankings or appraisal claims.

How we approach this

Momentum, not valuation

Velocity Rating does not state what an athlete is worth. When benchmark ranges are shown, they are clearly labeled as directional third-party NIL context with a date, methodology, and limitations.

Evidence before interpretation

The score receipt shows what changed, the evidence used, data freshness, missing inputs, and limitations. Any cohort comparison is clearly labeled, secondary, and tied to a defined group and time period.

Athlete agency by design

Athletes can verify identity, review the information used, correct profile details, connect missing channels, and approve or decline relationship requests. A pending request never becomes a confirmed relationship without athlete approval.

Data & attribution

Velocity Rating is built on data from multiple sources, including ESPN, SportsData.io, and publicly available program and athlete pages.

Roster and biographical data for women's college basketball is enriched using the Sports Roster Data Project from the University of Maryland, used under the MIT License.
